Villa del Lago never disappoints. And it certainly proved to be the perfect backdrop for Kristin and Matt’s Mediterranean-inspired wedding. Sometimes clients come to us with limited ideas of what they picture for the design of their big day, and we work together to bring out those special details as we go through the process. And sometimes clients have a very clear vision that we fine-tune, but the vision is pretty clear from the start. Kristin was a bride who knew exactly what she wanted and we connected immediately on a love of overflowing compotes, romantic florals, and asymmetrical designs. And Sophie Epton hit it out of the park per usual, capturing all the details. Been waiting a year and a half to show this one to you, and couldn’t be more excited for this to go live.
I love all the subtle mediterranean influences we introduced into the look. Sourcing just the right ceramics was very important to Kristin, so we could set the tone with a natural, handmade feel. The Corsica blue charger plates we brought in paired with vintage blue goblets really finished off the tablescapes and the pop of blue juxtaposed nicely against the floral palette and olive branch details. Handmade wooden boards topped with seasonal fruit and vines were one of my favorite additions to this look - sprinkled in between the compotes to add more color and texture and depth to the design. Kristin and Matt wanted a “Meet Joe Black party scene” and I think we accomplished that and then some.
