On a gorgeous (albeit a little windy) Texas winter day, Melissa and Matt tied the knot. Prospect house was the perfect. blank slate for the modern feel they wanted for their wedding day. And this wedding had some really fun details - blue shibori napkins, marble votives, mixed black, grey and white candles, silk velvet ribbons, and tons of other special details as you can see in the beautiful photos captured by Mint Photography. I loved surprising Melissa with peonies in her wedding florals, which was unexpected for the time of year, but icing on the cake to finish off the designs.
This wedding has all the moody details that makes a winter palette feel warm and cozy - rich burgundies and reds, vibrant blues, and lush winter greens. But all that rich color was offset by punches of soft peach and blush tones, which made this color palette stand out as a truly unique combination. What I will remember the most about working with Melissa, is her sincere trust in our team to execute her vision. Melissa had amazing ideas for the direction and design of the wedding, and let us run with it from day one. The end result was a stunning combination of florals, coming together in the moment, to create the modern winter wedding they envisioned.
