We had the absolute pleasure of working with Naomi, David, and their families for over two years while we designed their fairytale wedding. And a true fairytale it was! These gorgeous images from Jenna McElroy are giving us royal wedding vibes, with Naomi’s amazing, trailing gown and dramatically-styled bouquet. And the couple’s grand exit from Saint Mary’s in downtown Austin worthy of attracting the paparazzi. As always, it was pure joy to work alongside Lindsey of Highland Avenue Events – impeccable taste with no detail left undone.
We designed around the ever-pleasing palette of white and blush with greenery accents to bring Naomi’s vision of a romantic, classic and lush floral fantasy to life. We kept the arrangements traditionally-styled, yet naturally spilling with some natural movement to keep things contemporary. Textural baby’s breath was a unique element we added into the reception designs to add fullness while keeping things airy, and to compliment the softer textures of hydrangeas and roses. Unique Designs completely transformed the mezzanine of the Driskill with lots of soft, warm draping to keep the reception area intimate and sectioned off from the rest of the hotel. Summertime weddings, if you ask me, are best when bringing the outside in – so we added climbing greenery to the drapes for an enchanted garden feel, so guests could enjoy the “garden” all while in the comfort of the Driskill’s cool Mezzanine and Ballroom.
This family was a true joy to plan with during the entire process, and after two years we hardly felt like it should end. But it fills us with joy to look back at these images and remember the beautiful experience that it was. And a big, heartfelt congratulations to Naomi and David!
