Flowers, flowers everywhere – Dyan’s request and we were happy to oblige! Other than that, one inspiration image and the fact that she loved pastels… Dyan gave our team total creative control to do our thing and design the entire wedding. With it being May, we had plenty of beautiful late spring and early summer florals at our disposal, and many of them were from local growers here in Texas. We loved how Dyan “preserved” her wedding bouquet afterwards – The Heirloom Bouquet styled and created a beautiful image of all the florals as art to hang in their home. Her wedding palette was so perfect and romantic in the setting, which was the family’s private ranch in Dripping Springs.
It was a very rainy morning that day, followed by an equally rainy afternoon. We worked closely with Lyons Events to make a judgement call, chance it, and spent all day setting up in the rain for the ceremony because… as luck would have it… just before guest arrival, the rain stopped and they were able to have the most magical overcast ceremony outside. The only guests more excited than the family and friends who gathered together to celebrate Dyan + Ryan, were the bees from their small honey farm on the property, who were absolutely thrilled to see six truck loads of flowers we brought in. They went to work as soon as we did, and were most transfixed on those gorgeous tree peonies, you can see them in all the photos if you zoom in close.
Everything was a feat of determination from our team, the other amazing vendors, and the families… efforts combined into the most beautiful day and we could not be more pleased to see it featured in Martha Stewart only two months later. The groom created the platform for the ceremony to level out the ground, the honeymoon suite petals, candles and decor was a surprise by the bride’s mother, the archway for the cake was used at the bride’s brother’s wedding and will be used to grow flowering vines on the ranch now, the bride’s sons walked her down the aisle to meet the groom and his son’s… so many special details from the family were put into this wedding and that made it even sweeter. We are so thankful to have these amazing images from Jennifer Wilson to relive this day over and over again – congratulations Dyan + Ryan!
